The ag & food industry is going through a transformation at the technological and HR levels. However, the HR space is not moving forward as fast as it could. For instance, the hiring practice is still largely traditional. They are based on interviews and resumes which, not only are not enough to know the candidate, but leave ample room for our unconscious biases. The implications are expensive. Employers may miss the best fits for their vacancies which translate in lower production, commitment and sales.

My personal experience is that technology, and specifically pre-employment tests, are probably the best way to uncover valuable information about the applicant and deal with personal biases.
